(2)        A copy of the Will also duly court sealed and certified.

 

Are there any restrictions as to where the Will applies – i.e. is it restricted to just assets in England or is it the usual “general” World Wide jurisdiction?

 

For the moment we are assuming it is a general world wide jurisdiction; and

(3)        An original or official certified copy of the Death Certificate (not a photocopy).

If the deceased dies overseas, for example in Spain, then the Isle of Man Courts need an original Death Certificate and a certified translation. Some Death Certificates are printed in different languages, which will be very helpful; but if not, then unless you have a certified translation we will probably need a Notarised Translation or a Court Certified Translation or an official translation by an official translation service (which means we will need their official stamp or other evidence of their appointment as certified translators); and

(4)        Copies of the Identity documents of each of the Executors. In this case a copy of the Passports duly certified by a solicitor or by the post office as being true copies of the originals will usually suffice. If the Executors do not have passports, then a photocopy of the driving licence or of some other photo identity document (also duly certified by a solicitors or by the post office as being a true copy) will usually suffice.
